We want to share this our important goal.

The World Cheese Award 2018, held on November 2nd in Bergen, Norway, was attended by 2,472 cheeses from 41 countries.

The Parmigiano Reggiano National team, made up of 55 dairies, the largest collective mission ever undertaken by a national cheese abroad, wins 61 medals: a Super Gold medal, 12 gold medals, 20 silver, 28 bronze.

Among these there is also the Montecoppe Parmigiano Reggiano aged 18 months, awarded with the silver medal.

This award is a sign of pride for us.

It is the result of great work and great passion. The care and commitment we put into every phase of the supply chain generates quality and this quality has received great recognition.

“Once again this year the Parmigiano Reggiano National team has held high the honor of the most loved DOP by Italians – commented Guglielmo Garagnani, deputy vice president of the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium from Bergen – the medals won add further value to a market, such as that of cheeses, which is confirmed as growth “.

“Our compliments and gratitude go to all the dairies – concludes Garagnani – because they have been able to reconfirm the primates that belong to the Parmigiano Reggiano system. In Bergen, we also won thanks to the values that bind our product to the territory: thanks to a supply chain that engages thousands of breeders and hundreds of artisan dairies every day in the pursuit of absolute excellence. ”

The 32nd edition of the World Cheese Awards will be held in 2019 in Italy, more precisely in Bergamo. A location that will push the Parmigiano Reggiano National team to aim even higher.

“After 18 years of competitions – comments Gabriele Arlotti, creator of the Parmigiano Reggiano National team – we are certain that, overall, quality rewards and wins. Thanks to extraordinary dairies and farmers that make Parmigiano Reggiano second to none. This year we reached a record of attendance, 55 dairies, making it the largest collective mission in the world “.
