The domaine Morey-Coffinet was created by Michel Morey and his wife Fabienne Coffinet in the late 1870s with part of the vineyards coming from the estates of both families having both the Morey and Coffinet families a long history in Burgundian winemaking.

Today Domaine Morey-Coffinet, led by Thibault Morey, son of Michel and Fabienne, is certified organic in biodynamic conversion. Notable among the estate vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet are the 0.65 hectares of En Caillerets, 0.49 hectares of Morgeot Fairendes and 0.81 hectares of La Romanée.

In addition, Domaine Morey-Coffinet also has small properties in Grand Cru Bâtard-Montrachet (0.13 hectares) and Premier Cru Les Pucelles (0.19 hectares) located in Puligny-Montrachet.

Wine aging takes place of the family’s historic underground cellar dating back to the 16th century. The Chardonnays produced by Domaine Morey-Coffinet express fragrant aromas enhanced by powerful minerality, while their Pinot Noirs show consistency and balance.
