The Sant’Agata Oil Mill is distinguished by passion, tradition, love for the land and its products, and continuity in innovation.
Taggiasca olives, characteristic of the Oneglia hills, are hand-picked and prepared according to two ancient Ligurian recipes of the Mela family’s great-grandfather whose nickname was “Baciccia.” In “brine” with water, salt, thyme, bay leaf, and rosemary and “in extra virgin oil” after carefully pitting them. These small but flavorful olives are found only in the province of Imperia on the Riviera di Ponente.
They are perfect to enjoy as an appetizer, great for focaccia, pizza, salads, and tasty in a nice tomato sauce or with baked fish.
INGREDIENTS: Pitted “taggiasca” olives 70 percent, extra virgin olive oil 29 percent, herbs (including thyme and rosemary), acidity regulator: citric acid.
Store in a cool, dry place.
After opening store in refrigerator covered with oil and consume within 15 days.
