The Dispensa di Amerigo 1934 has enclosed in a single jar two top-quality items from our area: borettane onions and Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP.
This type of onion is well known for its unmistakable flavor. It takes its name from the town of Boretto in the province of Reggio Emilia where it was cultivated until the 1400s. Today we find it mainly in the Parma area.
They paired this vegetable with another Emilian excellence, Balsamic Vinegar. Made from grape musts aged and refined inside fine wooden barrels, which is the element that gives this product a lingering sweetness.
Fragrant, sweet and crisp, with a smooth taste and intense aroma.
They can be enjoyed as a side dish for traditional Emilian cured meats, boiled meats, or canned fish such as sardines and tuna au naturel.
Ingredients: borettane onions, “balsamic vinegar of Modena PGI” 20.8 percent (wine vinegar, cooked grape must), water, sugar, Cervia sea salt. Contains sulfites.
After opening store in the refrigerator.
