Hulled spelt “Triticum Dicoccum” 500 gr from Sala Cereali remained the dominant cereal in the Mediterranean region for centuries, until it was replaced by durum wheat, characterized by superior productivity. Its cultivation has only recently been reevaluated for its excellent nutritional properties.

Grown in the hills of Umbria, Marche, and Lazio, it is a cereal with many uses, suitable for soups, pot pies, and salads. It can also be prepared as a risotto or served only with Parmesan cheese and a drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Needs soaking for 6 to 8 hours. Cooking time: 40 to 50 minutes.

Store in a cool, dry place.
