Amarascata is an extra jam made from Maraschino cherries, the fruit grown and processed by Luxardo for the distillation of Maraschino and the preparation by infusion of Sangue Morlacco marasca liqueur.

Prepared according to an ancient recipe from a century-old tradition, Luxardo Amarascata is ideal for tarts and baked desserts (in fact, it can be baked in the oven up to 180° without boiling or releasing liquid). The percentage of fruit used is extremely high: as much as 170 g of fresh fruit for every 100 g of final jam. The percentage of added sugar is very low, about 30 percent. No thickeners of any kind, dyes or preservatives are used.
